Physical Health

Your body operates as a whole being, and taking a holistic approach will bring much better results than just trying to manage symptoms. Your physical, mental and emotional wellness is all tied together, and each of these systems can impact everything else.

That being said, scroll down to see the different categories of things that have the biggest negative effect on your health. These are things that you can start changing today, so you can feel happy, healthy & vibrant again! (OK, let's be honest: Maybe we can start with happy-ish, healthy-ish, or just a little better... sound like a deal?)

These recommendations and suggestions are based on my own experiences and research, and include things that help me feel happier, healthy-ish, mostly pain-free and sane. I'm hoping they work for you too! (Note: Essential oil and supplement recommendations are all doTERRA.)

(Note: This is not medical advice. Please contact a medical professional for medical advice.)

Inflammation & pain

This is such a big topic, and my approach is to begin with a good foundation as outlined on the START page. Please be aware that everyone's body chemistry is different, so you may need to experiment to see what works best for you.

Now on to my specific recommendations:

    • PastTense, Peppermint, Frankincense, Copaiba EOs
  • Muscle & Joint pain, Backaches
    • Deep Blue Rub, Deep Blue, AromaTouch, Basil, Lavender, Lemongrass, Peppermint, Siberian Fir EOs
  • Arthritis
    • Deep Blue Rub, Deep Blue, AromaTouch, Rosemary, Frankincense, Lemongrass, Copaiba EOs

digestive & metabolism support

Digestive health is so important to everything in your body functioning at its best. Did you know that ~70+% of your immune system is in your gut? It's true, and your digestive system is also referred to as your '2nd Brain'. (Gut feeling anyone?) That also means that your mental health is directly tied to your gut health, including anxiety and depression, as a large percentage of neurotransmitters like dopamine & serotonin are created in your digestive tract. Interesting...

Here are my top recommendations for digestive support:

  • Digestive Upset(Indigestion, heartburn, nausea, gas)
    • DigestZen caps or EO, Peppermint, Cardamom, Ginger, Lemon, Fennel, Slim & Sassy caps or EO, DigestTab chewables
  • Digestive Support(+ IBS, constipation, diarrhea, etc.)
    • DigestZen caps or EO, Ginger, Cardamom, Peppermint caps, Wild Orange EO, DigestTab chewables, TerraZyme Digestive Enzyme caps (1-2 with each meal), PB Assist Pre/Probiotic caps, GX Assist caps
  • Fiber & Greens  (separate products)
    • Mix with water or in a smoothie

If you're a woman, balancing your hormones is a big deal. Hormones are created by your Endocrine system, and here's a brief overview:
  • Pituitary (aka: The Master Gland) & Hypothalamus control all the other glands:
  • Thyroid: Controls your metabolism, energy, body temperature & more
  • Thymus: Produces T cells for immune & lymph system
  • Adrenals: Produce Cortisol & Adrenaline (fight or flight response) stress management, metabolism & more
  • Pancreas: Produces insulin & digestive enzymes
  • Ovaries / Testes: Produce estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, etc.
Along with LLV and digestive supplements, here are EO suggestions to support each of these hormone systems:

Pituitary & Hypothalamus:Frankincense, DDR Prime, Cedarwood, Sandalwood

Thyroid:Lemongrass, Clove, Frankincense, Myrrh, Immortelle blend, DDR Prime

Thymus:Blue Tansy, Clary Sage, Lemongrass, Breathe blend, OnGuard blend

Adrenals:Basil, Rosemary, Magnolia, Mito2Max caps

Pancreas:Cinnamon, Fennel, Lemon, Slim & Sassy softgels

Ovaries:ClaryCalm blend, PhytoEstrogen, Whisper blend

Aromatherapy affects your Pituitary gland very quickly, and inhaling Frankincense is very effective in calming and balancing your limbic system. Topically applying EOs over the area you want to support is how to use these oils.

Example for Adrenal Support: Put 2-3 drops of Basil & Rosemary into the palm of your hand, rub hands together, apply over adrenals (they are in the middle of your back, above your kidneys). Then I suggest you take a few deep breaths from your hands as aromatherapy. Do this 2 or 3 times per day, Yes, it smells like an Italian kitchen, but that's OK! It's plant medicine and your body loves it.
